Hockey players are too proud a bunch to intentionally try and lose games, but once the front office staff tags its team as a rebuilder, the tanking begins. It is a safe bet that Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel will turn into franchise players, but the mad frenzy to fight for the best position to draft them has cast a very dark and negative cloud over the NHL.

It is not the first time it has happened and it definitely will not be the last, but the integrity of the league is really in question the more teams tank their seasons. Continue reading →
